Megan knew on the first date that she was going to marry Devon. Devon, on the other hand, was not yet sold. The reason Megan knew she was going to marry Devon on the first date is because of his love for Jesus, his pure heart and how he is such a gentleman, always. Devon and Megan continued to spend time together multiple times a week and finally Devon asked Megan’s father if he could date his daughter. Megan’s father said to Devon, “well I think that’s my daughters decision” as he smiled. Megan said yes without a doubt in her mind.
Fast forward a year and a couple of months after multiple dates, memories, vacations, and deep conversations, Devon asked Megan to marry him on 02.02.2020 at the Indiana Museum of Art Newfields. Megan instantly said yes with no questions asked.
THE DETAILS
The couple was married on a beautiful, summer afternoon at her family’s farm in Indiana. They chose classic wedding white paired with pops of soft pink and eucalyptus for their color palette.
It was apparent that a lot of time, love and care went into their wedding planning. Thoughtfulness was everywhere, from the gifts for the bridal party, the program fans to keep their guests cool, to several fun yard games to play while waiting for the nuptials to begin.
GETTING READY
THE DRESS
Megan wore a classically romantic wedding dress by designer Martina Liana. A gorgeous fit-and-flare silhouette adds just a hint of glam to her lace gown. The elegant cage train and subtle side cutouts made for a breathtaking back view.
THE BRIDAL PARTY
Megan was surrounded by her besties who wore timeless, neutral, chiffon dresses by Azazie. The guys kept it clean and classic in dark tuxes and the groom sported a unique bow tie crafted from goose and peacock feathers. The wedding party was made complete by the adorable flower girl and her handsome ring bearer.
THE CEREMONY & RECEPTION
Under a stunning boho wedding arch, the couple exchanged vows during a touching, faith-based ceremony performed by Devon’s longtime friend and mentor. After the “I do’s”, the party was in full swing at their tented outdoor reception. The guests enjoyed dinner and wedding cake provided by Sweet and Savory Catering. A very popular visit from the Good’s Candy Shop ice cream truck, was followed by dancing and a spectacular fireworks send-off.
